“Super Stitcher” Program
Rewards Customers Who Support
Local Quilt Shops
WOODINVILLE, WA—In an effort to promote the patronage of quilt shops nationwide, Martingale & Company® has launched the “Super Stitcher” award program. The stamp-card-driven program is specifically designed to encourage quilters to purchase books at local quilt shops.
Free to retailers who are members of Martingale’s Premiere Shop program, the “Super Stitcher” program was launched at Houston’s Quilt Festival this fall, where more than 10,000 stamp cards were distributed. Quilters can load up their cards with nine stamps—one for each That Patchwork Place® or Martingale book, pattern, or product purchased—at any participating Premiere Shop. Once nine stamps have been earned, quilters can send their card directly to Martingale for a free book of their choice. Along with their free book, quilters will also receive a new Super Stitcher card.
“We are very proud of this new promotion,” says Donna C. Lever, Martingale’s marketing manager. “Independent quilt shops are at the heart of our business. By offering quilters an incentive to visit these shops, we hope to help offset the recent trend of buying quilt books through online retailers or large chain stores. Our goal is to keep the ‘support your local quilt shop’ mentality alive and well.”
Over 600 quilt shops signed on as “Super Stitcher” shops during the first month of launching the program. Hundreds more sign-ups are expected in coming months. Quilters can find participating shops online by visiting our online Shop Search. Consumers and retailers can click on the “Super Stitcher” links featured on Martingale’s Web site (www.martingale-pub.com) to learn more about the program. |
