Column two; replace "Satin Stitch" paragraph with the following text:
Satin Stitch. Satin stitches are shown on the patterns as circles with lines running through them. Position your stitches close together. Satin stitches are used for the rounded tips of the jacks in "Playing Jacks." Put three or four stitches at each tip. They are also used at the ends of the laces in the "Sewing" pattern. Put two or three stitches at the end of each lace.
